Q: What camera do you use?
A: I primarily use a Canon 5D Mark III, and previously used a Canon Rebel. For underwater shots I use a GoPro with an underwater housing.

Q: What processing software do you use?
A: I use RawTherapee which is free and open-source.

Q: How do you feel about AI-generated images?
A: I believe photography as an art encompasses everything from capture through the full processing workflow. Generative AI has its place, but you won't find it here.

Q: Do you aspire to become a professional photographer?
A: Hobbies are more fun when I don't have to do them.

Q: How many countries are represented here?
A: I've explored 45 countries but don't have photos worth sharing from all of them. The places represented here evolve along with my portfolio and style.

Q: When did you get started in photography?
A: I learned to use a film SLR camera in high school. I developed and printed the photos in a darkroom, and the smell of darkroom chemicals is still nostalgic.

Q: Do you pursue getting your work published or printed?
A: No, I'm more motivated by the art of capture than by publicity. I rarely enter contests either.
